AUBURN: Peter Nagle (ALP) is a 41-year-old barrister educated at Macquarie University.
BALLINA: Don Page (National) is a 36-year-old accountant educated at the University of New England. He is married with two children.
BALMAIN: Dawn Fraser (Independent) is a former Olympic swimmer. She has a daughter.
BASS HILL: Bill Lovelee (ALP) was educated at Farrer Agricultural College and later joined the Merchant Navy as a marine engineer. Born in 1951, he has been a member of the ALP for 12 years.
BATHURST: David Berry (Liberal) is a company director who has owned and operated restaurants and hotels in Sydney and the country. He was born in 1951 and is married.
BEGA: Russell Smith (Liberal), a farmer and businessman, was born in 1946 and is married. He is the deputy president of Bombala Shire Council.
BLIGH: Clover Moore (Independent) is a former alderman on both the South Sydney Council and the Sydney City Council.
BLUE MOUNTAINS: Barry Morris (Liberal) is a grazier with extensive interests in real estate and the petroleum industry.
BURRINJUCK: Alby Schultz (Liberal) is married with two sons. He is a meat industry consultant and a member of the Cootamundra Shire Council.
CAMDEN: Peter Primrose (ALP) was born in 1955. Before his election, he was a policy analyst with the State Government.
CARLINGFORD: Wayne Merton (Liberal), a solicitor and company director, was born in 1943. He is married with three children.
CESSNOCK: Bob Roberts (Liberal) is an accountant, farmer and grazier. Born in 1952 and married, he is a member of the Singleton Shire Council.
EARLWOOD: Philip White (Liberal), a printing company director, was born in 1938 and is married with three children.
EASTWOOD: Andrew Tink (Liberal) is a barrister who has been active in the party over the past 10 years. Born in 1953, he is married with two young sons
GEORGES RIVER: Terry Griffiths (Liberal) was born in 1944. A former graduate of the Officer Cadet School at Portsea, he is the chief executive of the Scouts Association of Australia. He is married.
GLADESVILLE: Ivan Petch (Liberal) is a former theatrical promoter turned company director. He was a member of the Sydney County Council (1980-87).
GOSFORD: Chris Hartcher (Liberal), married with three children, has Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law degrees from Sydney University. Born in 1946, he is a solicitor who owns his own firm.
HEATHCOTE: Allan Andrews (Liberal) has lived and worked in the electorate all his life. He is a divorced sales representative and former president of Sutherland Shire Council.
ILLAWARRA: Terry Rumble (ALP) is a 45-year-old accountant. A long-term resident of the Illawarra region, he has been a member of the party since 1962.
KEIRA: Colin Markham (ALP) is a 47-year-old electrical fitter. An active member of the Electrical Trades Union for 27 years, he is married with three sons.
LISMORE: Bill Rixon (National) has been a member of the party since 1975. Married with five children, he is a farmer and former president of the Kyogle Shire Council.
LONDONDERRY: Paul Gibson (ALP) is a supplier to hotels, clubs and hospitals. Educated at Christian Brothers' College, Young, he is a former first grade player with Manly, Parramatta, and Penrith Rugby League clubs. He is 44.
McKELL: Sandra Nori (ALP) is a member of the Social Security Appeals Tribunal. Born in 1953, she was educated at Petersham Girls' High School and Sydney University.
MINCHINBURY: Anne Cohen (Liberal) is the only female Liberal in the Lower House. A small-businesswoman and company director, she was born in 1941.
MONARO: Peter Cochran (National) is a farmer, married with three children. A former ASIO operative, he was also employed by the Livestock and Grain Producers' Association.
MULGOA: Tony Aquilina (ALP) is a 35-year-old electorate officer who has been an alderman on Penrith City Council since 1983. He is married with two children.
MYALL LAKES: John Turner (National) was born in 1949. Married with three children, he is a solicitor and registered tax agent.
NEWCASTLE: George Keegan (Independent) is a 59-year-old retired real estate salesman.
PARRAMATTA: John Books (Liberal) is a company manager and former mayor of Parramatta. He was born in 1941 and is married.
PENRITH: Guy Matheson (Liberal) is married with two young children. He has been a bank officer for the past 18 years.
PORT STEPHENS: Bob Martin (ALP) was born in 1945. He managed a fisheries research station until his election to Parliament.
